CSO- Company B

Company B

Company B Jazz Band delivers a dynamic performance that sends anyone within earshot straight back to the dance halls of the Swing Era and Roaring ’20s speakeasies. Featuring a harmonizing female vocal trio, the band’s creative arrangements, sharp image, and charming wit never fail to get toes tapping and faces smiling. This talented group of musicians has toured extensively, gracing the stages of renowned venues and music festivals around the globe. In 2018-’19 alone, the band twice toured Europe, were the the sole Canadian representatives at the Joy in Jiangsu Jazz & World Music Festival (China), were selected by the High Commission of Canada to perform for the prelude events to the Jaipur Jazz & Blues Festival (India), and performed the coveted closing set for the Vancouver International Jazz Festival. The group enjoys frequent airplay on Canada’s internationally broadcast CBC Radio 1 and 2, featured on popular programs as well as in live broadcasts. Their sixth and most recent album release is their first to primarily feature original compositions.

CSO- Vancouver Orpheus Male Choir

Vancouver Orpheus Male Choir

Orpheus was formed in 1992 for “Men of all ages who love to sing”. Combining a rich history of male choir standards with new and unexpected arrangements of contemporary works, this choir delivers beyond expectations. Our repertoire covers an eclectic mix of popular ballads, sacred and folk songs, Canadiana, rousing male voice classics and Rock and Roll. The Orpheus men are all amateur yet deliver a professional engaging performance from memory. Each performance guarantees an emotional ride through familiar, new, rousing, humorous and classic repertoire.

Orpheus annually tours BC to enrich smaller communities with choral entertainment. Major tours have included the Maritimes, Ontario, Alberta, Saskatchewan and the US PNW. In September 2015 we toured Wales hosted by many of the Welsh Male Choirs we hosted in Vancouver over the years. The choir made a five concert tour of the Maritimes in June of 2023 with rave reviews from our host choirs. This is the 31st year as a choir.

Voces Gioventu

Voces Gioventu

Voces Gioventu is a performance choir devoted to developing lifelong musicians. Voces Gioventu holds weekly rehearsals and presents concerts for the public . Our young musicians sing music from many genres. This eclectic choir also performs with the Chilliwack Symphony Orchestra and Belle Voci from time to time. We may perform at other events over the course of the season.

Singers learn the value of teamwork and enjoy a profound sense of accomplishment at the progress that they make throughout the year.

Our vision for Voces Gioventu is to inspire young singers in the Valley by giving them an opportunity to grow and develop as musicians, performers, and members of our community.
